RIP Cyril Andrews

It is with a great deal of sadness that we advise of the passing of Cyril Andrews our great friend, Life Member and club supporter. He passed away on April 24 after a period of declining health.

The club offers condolences to Cyril’s wife Marg and extended family at this time.

Cyril’s love of cricket seemed endless and this was evident by his willingness to volunteer his time and effort for the club.

After a lengthy period as a Premier Cricket umpire, Cyril established himself as a wonderful RCC person, assisting in a range of general duties that included Team Manager/Assistant and match day tasks.

Attending games as recently as this season in partnership with Marg, Cyril was always up for a discussion while viewing play from the same place in the pavilion each week.

A thorough gentlemen, a keen RCC historian, humble and cheerful by nature, we say thank you to Cyril for his contribution to the club over many years.

Rest in Peace, Cyril Andrews.
